Matt Brown

Matt’s interest in design began when he entered the cuddy of a sailboat. Every inch was optimally designed and multifunctional and seeing such efficiency in a small space left a lasting impression. Originally from upstate New York, Matt headed south and attended Clemson University, where he studied architecture. During his time there, he had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona and travel extensively. These experiences sparked his interest in both historic architecture and urban design.
Washington University in St Louis offered him the chance to explore both fields. After earning a master’s degrees in both architecture and urban design, Matt worked in several cities on residential and commercial projects before eventually settling in the DMV area, where he lives with his wife and three children.
