Project Synopsis

This project renovated 4,000 sf of existing offices and support spaces to provide enhanced workspace ambiance and flow to facilitate increased staff productivity and collaboration for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). Key design features included open and enclosed offices, conference and collaboration rooms, a kitchenette and storage areas. The design intent of the reception area was to elevate the image and presence of the Institute within the building and on the campus.

The Office of Intramural Management manages travel, budget, space, property, purchasing, inventory, human resources, workforce planning for the National Human Genome Research Institute which is devoted to advancing health through genome research, as well as the study of the ethical, legal and social implications of genome research.
